How Much Does A 50 Inch Plasma Television Weigh

Just wondering how much does a 50 inch plasma TV set weigh and will it fit in your car? If you are going to be shopping for a TV soon and you’re not sure if need to have it delivered, or can you just pick it up in a trunk?

It is okay to be lifted by 2 people but I doubt very seriously how are you going to fit it in your car because you have to transport it in an upright position or else it will crack, so that might not be a good plan.

It is plasma, it CANNOT be put onto its front or back, it must be kept upright at all times. To ensure its position, tie from all four sides of the box. Make sure you have a vehicle capable of doing this as the 50 inch plasma in its box is pretty large. Just take a quick measure with a tape measure to be sure.

Plasma TVs have about 10 inches extra on length for the protective plastic and about 15 inches on each side, you’ll have to fold down the seats to fit one like this in a big car like station wagon or jeep. Even you could have to take the plasma out of the box and cover your TV in a bubble wrap, but remember that you are OBLIGED to transport a plasma upright.
As long as your drive isn’t too far, and you don’t have to hit highway speed, you’ll be fine. But drive carefully.

Otherwise you might have to pay for the delivery. See if you can borrow a light goods vehicle or take advantage of the retailers delivery service.

If you buy a plasma TV of a “trusted source” on the internet you’ll get it delivered free. You may be able to also save on taxes and price for the exact same TV from a local store.
Internet stores do not spend out on a large sales stuff and they do not have also expensive shop rental costs that’s the reason why do they reduce the prices easily. But make sure that the internet site is a “trusted seller” like Amazon.
