How To Connect Samsung LED TV To The Internet Using WIS09ABGN
Learn how to connect samsung TV to Internet
To connect your internet-ready Samsung TV to the Internet you need WIS09ABGN LinkStick Wireless LAN Adapter.
Samsung’s Internet TV content service lets users access widget-based content from a wide array of Yahoo! Internet sources including Flickr, Facebook, YouTube, Blockbuster, Netflix, News, Weather, Finance, Sports, Stock information and more – all on your Samsung HDTV screen!
The WIS09ABGN LinkStick supports 802.11a/b/g/n wireless networking (when you play the video over a IEEE 802.11B/G connection, the video may not play smoothly), and is compatible with several 2009 Samsung LED, LCD, and Plasma HDTVs and 2010 Samsung Models:
- LCD 2010 C550, C630, C650, C750
- LED 2010 C5000, C6300, C6500, C7000, C8000, C9000
- Plasma 2010 C540, C550, C590, C6500, C7000, C8000
WIS09ABGN won’t work with older than 2009 Samsung TVs (like A650), even if you have purchased it in 2009. The TV must be at least a 2009 model.
WIS09ABGN supports:
- 2009 & 2010 Samsung TVs with Internet@TV, AllShareTM OR InfoLink
- 2009 & 2010 Samsung Blu-ray Disk Players with BD Live

If you have WIS09ABGN adaptor , it is nice to watch some Netflix instant streaming movies -- much more convenient than attaching laptop with cables. Or watch Avatar on a Blu- ray player.
If your player doesn’t work with the WIS09ABGN, then Blu-ray player might needed a software update! Then it works perfectly and Avatar is beautiful!
If you have a Samsung Blu-ray player, the Netflix instant movies stream just fine from that using the LinkStick.
It is easy to install the WIS09ABGN and connect samsung TV to the Internet.
It connects to the video and pictures on all of your networked laptops. It is not as fast as if you were browsing on the laptop but not bad. The widgets, while limited, work pretty well with Flickr, but it doesn’t not work with Picasa.
It does not work with Apple Time Capsules that use WEP encryption. Not only will it not work with the time capsule but it is the only LAN adapter that will work with the Samsung Blu-ray player.
This device only works with recent Blu-ray players. It is worthless on a player purchased in 2009.
You need this Blu-ray player to get the WIS09ABGN LAN adapter to work!
The adapter needs to be very close to the signal source to watch HD, if you don’t need HD it works well. Once you are connected you will be asked if you want to download any available firmware.
Connecting To a Wireless Network
To connect your TV to your network wirelessly, you need a wireless router or modem and a Samsung Wireless LAN Adaptor WIS09ABGN, which you connect to your TV’s back or side panel USB jack.

You might want to download instructions for wireless connection how to attach the TV to your network and configuring the Network Connection, click here and scroll down to Step 7.
