Panasonic VIERA TC-P42X1 720p Plasma HDTV Review
Panasonic VIERA TC-P42X1 720p Plasma HDTV is much better than Sony Bravia LCD 1080p ($1499) or Samsung 4061F 1080p. Why?
Panasonic plasma TV’s are probably the most successful plasma televisions on the market today with produced breathtaking images.
- Manufacturer: Panasonic
- Model: VIERA TC0P42X1 42 inch 720p Plasma HDTV
- Customer Rating: 4,5 stars
Panasonic VIERA TC-P42X1 looks great, works great. There’s no motion blur on this TC-P42X1 TV, the color, contrast, and clarity are outstanding.
Anti Reflective Filter. No glare, no screen reflection. Great and bright picture -- top notch. And super sound. Just perfect for movie watching. The picture is super clear even if connected with Satellite. Games look awesome if you play xbox 360.
For a human eye regular DVD is as good as Blue-Ray on this one. Can be mounted on the wall with a mount that swivels, tilts and moves away from the wall.
Screen Protection
If having kids, a great advantage is that TC-P42X1 has a substantial protective glass screen that can be wiped clean and not worry about the damage they might do to the screen.
The only thing you could wish to be improved is the remote as it is skimpy. The remote channel flashback button is in a hard to access place, and if you want to manually add/remove channels the paging through existing channels via the menu system is extremely slow especially when there is a large number of channels.
Panasonic TC-P42X1 Settings
These settings turned out to be perfect for the Panasonic TC-P42X1: pic mode custom, contrast +78, brightness +57, color +53, tint -9, sharpness +29, everything else off, black levels light and temp normal.
Panasonic TC-P42X1 Pixelation
If concerned that the pixelation on the 720p plasma could be more noticeable than on the 1080p, it’s not true. A human eye does not see the difference unless the screen is 55 inches and bigger and viewing distance is only 4 feet. But if you’re sitting about 7 to 10 feet away the picture is outstanding.
If trying to find the right features at the right price, Panasonic Viera TC-P42X1 720p is the best plasma to buy. If you get one, you’ll be pleased! Between the customer reviews, the specs, and the price you won’t find anything better.
