Peerless SF640 Best Price And Easy Installation Wall Mount For 32 Inch TV
Peerless SF640 – Low-Profile Fixed Wall Mount is simple, practical and adequate ultra-slim wall plate.
The mount keeps the screen close to the wall for a very discreet installation that is perfect for boardrooms, digital signage, or home theaters. SF640 doesn’t let you tilt the TV, but if you just look for a mount that allows you to hang your TV flat on the wall, this is the unit to buy.
This is a versatile, easy to install wall mount and for so much less money than what you find at the big box stores.
The quality of the SF640 wall mount is nice, all the parts are well packaged and clearly marked, but could be missing yet some screws in the package that fit your TV.
Before Buying Peerless SF640
On the description it was said that this SmartMount Universal Flat Wall Mount supports virtually any 23″ to 46″ flat panel screen, however the 42″ and 46″ that it actually fits are VERY limited. Also our research shows that it was purchased mostly for smaller TV sizes like 26 and 32 inch.
Peerless SF640 wall mount is not compatable with several 46 inch TVs, and even smaller sizes. The bracket is too small and will not reach the holes on the back, the vertical pieces are too short.
Be very careful if your TV’s greater than 37″, and use a bigger bracket for an up to 60 inch tv and that will work out great.
Measure the distance between mounting holes on your TV as this one only expands to 18″ and will not work with large screen which almost all have a 29″ bracket spread.
Also, if your TV uses the large 4mm M8 size mounting screws, this kit does not include them and they’re too big for the holes in the stantions. Check your TV mounting dimensions BEFORE buying this mount.
On the manufacturer’s web page for this product it says: “Many 42″ plasmas have mounting hole patterns larger than this mounts dimensions. Use MountFinder™ to verify mount compatibility for your screen.”
Use Peerless’s mount finder by typing in your TV model number OR by selecting the Make and Model from the drop-down menu. Peerless will display ONLY the mounts that fit your TV. The Mount Finder is most effective when used prior to buying the mount.
This mount is way too small for many LCDs and Plasmas, but to solve the problem you can buy extensions for them, or simply consider another mount.
Where Are My Studs
The mounting wall plate will only work on walls with studs 16″ OC of less. Most new houses are in fact still built with studs 16″ apart. I would suggest you find the studs in your wall before you order.
SF640 Wall Mount Is Too Close To The Wall
The wall mount is reasonably priced, sturdy/solid, and allows you to adjust the TV left and right after mounting as necessary to center in the space. SF640 does exactly what it is supposed to, and it is extremely secure if assembled as per the instructions. However, it will make it difficult to get to inputs if they are in the middle of the back of the TV.
That’s why you would consider getting Peerless SF640 for nice 32 inch LG TV!
Since it lays so close to the wall, it is recommend purchasing right-angle RCA adapters for wiring up with this mount. This allows for the wires to not be squished.
