Sony Bravia 3D HDTVs HX800, HX900 and LX900 series
Sony Bravia 3D Ready TV HX800
Bravia HX800 series HDTVs are the lowest of Sony 3D capable models. To start enjoying a 3D content on a Sony Bravia HX800 3D TV and play 3D movies, 3D games and 3D sports on HX800 Full HD 1080p 3D TV, you’ll need a 3D capable Blu-ray player Sony BDP-S470, PlayStation 3 gaming console, or other 3D-capable source plus Sony 3D sync transmitter and 3D active glasses, HDMI cable (each sold separately).
HX800 is compatible to 3D Sync Transmitter TMR-BR100 and 3D Active Glasses (TDG-BR100, TDG-BR50/L, TDG-BR50/P). Two last 3D Sony glasses are small size for kids, see listed here:
HX800 3D TV is Wi-Fi adapter ready, which lets you stream movies, TV episodes, videos and music from Netflix, YouTuve, Amazon Video On Demand, Slacker, Pandora, and more. But you need internet connection and wireless WiFi dongle (sold separately) plugged into Bravia HX800 USB port. For HD content recommended broadband internet connection speed is 10 Mbps.
Blu-ray player with 3D playback capability allows you enjoy Blu-ray 3D movies in Full HD1080p and improve the quality of DVDs to near HD with the Sony BDP-S470 Blu-ray Disc Player. HX800 instantly converts 2D personal content into 3D with one button.
Setup and updates is easy using wireless connection. Internet connection to Netflix is a breeze with no problems. This Blu-ray player don’t have Wi-Fi built-in and needs USB-based adapter UWA-BR100.
HX800 series TVs are also DLNA compatible that allow you to access and share photo, video and music files from PC or PS3 to your HDTV’s screen. Once DLNA connection is established, you can browse selected folders and select music to listen to, or photos and videos to watch. But in order to create a DLNA network you’ll need at least one DLNA certified server that stores content (VAIO laptop or Sony Ericsson phone) and one DLNA certified device to play -- HX800 Bravia TV, router and either Powerline adapters, Ethernet cables, or wireless bridge to connect your network.
Now you may want to check for a logo or sticker on your devices to find out if they are DLNA certified or see www.dlna.org website for more information.
HX800 is Energy Star qualified, and it uses 30% less energy than standard TVs and will lower your utility bill.

Compare Sony Bravia HX800 and HX909
KDL-HX800 series 3D Ready HDTV are more or less similar to the XBR-HX900, but lacks Monolithic design with OptiContrast panel. What is that? OptiContrast panel has been designed with a clear surface treatment and a resin sheet sandwiched between the LCD display panel and glass plate in order to minimize reflection and refraction of external and internal light. HX900 and LX900 models, both come equipped with the OptiContrast panel.

Sony 3D Glasses
To ensure users fully enjoy 3D viewing, the Bravia HX900 and LX900 series 3D ready TVs come with two sets of Active Shutter Glasses that are synchronized with the images shown on the display. Additional 3D glasses can be purchased separately.
Sony has an adult-sized TDG-BR100 gray pair, along with a smaller blue or pink TDG-BR50 pair. The downside is that the glasses also require a TMR-BR100 IR emitter (see below).
It appears that only a few models of Sony3D ready TV’s come bundled with glasses. This could change, especially as Sony starts making its 3D content available on disc. So far, it’s pretty restrictive.
